Post-transplant care is equally crucial, involving immunosuppressive drugs to prevent rejection, as well as ongoing monitoring for complications. Innovations in both transplant techniques and alternative therapies like gene therapy and stem cell treatments are paving the way for improved outcomes in these patients, offering hope for those with end-stage heart failure.
