Hypertensive Heart Diseases
Long-term high blood pressure places immense stress on the cardiovascular system, resulting in hypertensive heart diseases, a leading cause of heart failure and stroke worldwide. Persistent hypertension can lead to the thickening of heart muscles, particularly the left ventricle, impairing its ability to pump blood. Additionally, it increases the risk of arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, and sudden cardiac events. Effective management of hypertensive heart diseases involves a comprehensive approach that includes maintaining a healthy diet, regular exercise, and adherence to antihypertensive medications. Raising awareness about the impact of uncontrolled hypertension is critical for preventing heart-related complications and enhancing patient outcomes.
